As I look forward to the summer months, and spring turns to full bloom, I'm trying to remind myself of ways I can feel as rejuvenated as the world around me. Whether through exams or through a long stretch of work with no holiday escapes, for some of us, burnout is brewing. I'm teetering on the edge - walking the line, so what can I do to save myself from falling?
1 - Stay Hydrated.
Health is wealth. Feeling great is all what you put in your body - there's no better way to start your day than with water. It's vital for glowing skin, and allows your body to function at its highest.
2 - Embrace Outdoor Activities.
For me, warmer weather alone is enough to lift the daze of exhaustion. There's no better to way to feel energised than through a bit of outdoor activities; walking in the sun, swimming in the cool ocean water or getting your hands dirty gardening.
3 - Sun Protection Always.
This one can be hard. It's difficult to resist the allure of sun-kissed skin or the bronzed glow of your dreams. However, my favourite style icons find a way to be sunsafe and stylish without damage to your skin. Find the perfect pair of UV protected sunnies, cap and linen shirt for beach days to protect your skin. Summer months and warmer weather are great for the soul, but that doesn't mean your body has to cop the damages.
4 - Eating Clean.
Go anywhere online or on your socials and you'll find a mass of information on the importance of eating clean for your overall health. What's most exciting about summer is the ease it presents in eating clean - fresh seasonal fruits are the perfect snack or breakfast and a great source of vitamins. When teetering on the edge of burnout, being mindful of what you eat can help your brain and body feel nourished.
This time of year can be hard but there's little things you can do every day that make a big impact. Drawing inspiration from nature, and how it stays resilient through the cold, we can let the sunshine in too.
