It’s been a busy time here at Pure Planet Club HQ, with the recent launch of our long-awaited 100% recycled toilet paper. It’s competitively priced and extra length with 500 sheets per roll, so it provides excellent bang for your buck as well as being kind to our planet. While we’re on the topic of earth-friendly loo roll, check out our recent blog on ways to make your bathroom more sustainable, whether it’s small changes like switching to eco-friendly bathroom products, or installing touchless tapware.

Lastly, if you’re aware of the Great Pacific Ocean Patch, you may be surprised to know that it’s now home to a range of sea life. You can read more here

World Ocean Day

This month marks World Ocean Day on June 8 (and every day!). World Ocean Day is a day of celebration that propels action throughout the year to protect our blue planet. This year, thousands of events are expected across 150 countries, hosted by youth groups, aquariums, zoos and businesses.

For 2022, World Ocean Day is raising awareness and support for the global movement to protect at least 30% of the world's lands, waters, and ocean by 2030 (30x30). Safeguarding at least 30% through a network of highly protected areas can help ensure a healthy ocean and climate.

Head to worldoceanday.org for amazing resources and ideas on how you can celebrate and take action on 8 June, World Ocean Day, and any day throughout the month of June – or indeed throughout the whole year. If you’re looking to participate in an event near you or online, you can search the database of events, activities, and conservation-related announcements using the World Map and Events Calendar.

“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference and you have to decide what kind of a difference you want to make.”
- Jane Goodall.

Thanks for keeping our oceans clean and forests green!
